Bar manager at No. 2 and destiller at Copenhagen Destillery.
What do you drink when you…
…go on a date?
“Let her decide, if she asks you for good advices point her to the bartender, dont be a smartass. She should feel safe, save the let-me-impress-you for later.”
…get off from work?
“Rusty nail or something else that can be made quick.”
“Depends on where we are going. Nobody likes the annoying guy who tries to explain to a young-gun-bartender at Vega what a negroni is.
When at a cocktailbar, order something from the menu, its a question of respect – if you order a bottle beer the second time the bartenders will understand a hint. Biggest no-go is to order your own drink. That will get you 7 days timeout at Café Louise to get you back on track about what bartending is really about.”
…have dinner with friends or your partner?
“Aquavit and tonic at the balcony to start with..then wine, wine, wine. Maybe a punch after dinner. Just as long as it isn´t anything that keeps you in the kitchen and take you away from your guests. It should be made in advance.”
…relax at home on the couch?
“Negroni, Old Fashioned, Sazerac, maybe a glass of white wine. Also aquavit and water in the ration 1:3 is great for cooling down”
